350 layoffs just announced from another agency
Ground Control let go of 350 people on Friday afternoon. The email subject line was "Exciting changes!"
Ground Control HQFriday. 4:59pm. One minute before the weekend. Three hundred and fifty Ground Control employees got an email that started with "Exciting changes!" and ended with "Please return your badge."
Ground Control says the cuts are about "building smarter." They have spent the last year building cheaper. Smarter is new.
I worked on the launch pad. The one with the wrench. I would like to say on the record that it was not my wrench.
Kuiper has already hired 40 of them. Kuiper's public support went up. Ground Control's went the other way.
